Beals Preserve Open House, September 25, 2010

The Southborough Open Land Foundation celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Grand Opening of the Beals Preserve with an open house on September 25, 2010. A number of people stopped by to enjoy a beautiful fall day.

Special thanks to all those who were able to help the Trustees clear brush and remove invasive species along the stone walls and field edges. Your help was most welcome. We want to acknowledge the members of the Algonquin National Honor Society who helped as well as representatives of Boy Scout Troop 1.

Many had a chance to walk on our newest trail to Hickory Road. The trail was built on September 14, 2010, by volunteers from Eastern Mountain Sports, Marlboro, MA, and is part of SOLF's commitment to enhancing our members' experience at Beals Preserve. We hope that you continue to enjoy this wonderful property!
