Algonquin Regional High School
National Honor Society at Beals Preserve, April 23,
2011
On a very cold and rainy day, members of the Algonquin National Honor
Society volunteered at the Beals Preserve to help with clean-up work
on the Old Farm Lane. Sticks and wood debris were covering the lane
as a result of SOLF’s Wildlife Habitat Improvement
Program over the winter. NHS President Colleen Caty and Secretary
Leah Gaffney organized the volunteer activity. SOLF Board members Amy
Kassatly and Bill Sines along with Freddie Gillespie joined the students
in the work. The NHS volunteers made a significant contribution to SOLF’s
ongoing clean up of the trails. Thank you Algonquin National Honor Society
volunteers.
